Dubai, United Arab Emirates: December 18, 2017 – Nissan held its annual Regional Skills Contest ceremony to honor its top sales and customer service employees from across the Middle East on a private boat at Dubai Marina. Nissan reiterated its commitment to be a leader in providing the best customer experience in the region, where it has more than 2,500 employees. 

Kalyana Sivagnanam, President of Nissan Middle East and Regional Vice President Marketing and Sales for Africa, the Middle East and India, said; “Our success in the Middle East is tied to the loyalty of our customers. Their satisfaction will always remain our focus, and it is our responsibility to ensure all our staff are customer-focused in any task they undertake. This will result in offering our customers an experience that will continue to surpass their expectations.”

The Regional Skills Contest is made up of four competitions for technicians, service advisors, sales and parts, with the objective of employees showcasing their capabilities and hone in on their skills.

The oldest and most coveted category is Nissan Service Technical Excellence Competency Award (NISTEC), now in its 21st year. This year, the accolade was awarded to Abdul Latheef from Arabian Automobiles in Dubai, UAE.

Other winners from the award ceremony:

• The first place under the Nissan Service Advisor Excellency Competency Award (NISAC) category was won by Adnan Aslam from Al Masaood Automobiles, Abu Dhabi.

• The winner of the Nissan Sales Executive Excellence Competency Award (NISEC) category was won by Mohammed Fathy from Al Babtain, Kuwait.

• The first place for the Nissan Parts Executive Excellence Competency Award (NIPEC) was won by James Pinto from Arabian Automobiles, Dubai.
